Byron, MN (KROC AM News) – A Byron woman called 911 Tuesday to report a suspicious incident and the Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office is trying to find out if her concerns were justified.

The 48-year-old woman was parked at the Byron middle school around 5:00 AM waiting for a friend to go for their morning run when a car pulled up next to her. The woman says the man driving the car began staring at her and she decided to leave. The woman says as she was backing up, the man used his car to block her way. As she was getting ready to drive over the boulevard to get away, the woman says the man drove off and she called 911.

A witness verified what the woman said and investigators are checking the school’s surveillance camera to see if the man’s vehicle can be identified.

The woman described it as an older red four-door model. The man was described as white, 40-50 years-old with a possible beard.
