The Christmas creep has already begun, I stopped at a big-box retailer the other day and I already saw the Christmas lights and decorations were up, and it hadn't even been Halloween yet. But if you are a fan of Christmas, it was probably a welcomed sight. I've got some more good news if you are into Christmas, there will be a Christmas pop-up market happening this weekend at the St. Paul Union Depot, and then three other locations before November is over including a stop in Southeastern Minnesota.

So what exactly is going to be happening this weekend? The MN Christmas Market is an annual pop-up holiday shopping event that showcases homegrown brands and makers, with a charitable twist. All vendors will donate 7% of sales from the event to a local charity that fights for kids in the Twin Cities. Which according to a promotional email I got, is a pretty cool thing to do, donate some proceeds to a local charity.

This year's charity is one close to my family's heart, as it centers around helping kids in foster care here in Minnesota become adopted and find permanent homes by making videos of all available kids for prospective families. The name of the charity is The Reel Hope Project. A 501(c)(3) nonprofit that makes videos of kids in the foster care system who are waiting to be adopted. Their mission: a forever family for every child. How awesome!

The pop-up market will be, at the St. Paul Union Depot, this Saturday from 10am to 5pm. Can't make it this weekend? No problem there are other pop-up markets coming like Saturday, November 13th in Rochester at the Mayo Civic Center 10a-5pm, Sunday, November 14th, 10am-5pm at Quincy Hall in Northeast Minneapolis, and then the final pop-up market in Duluth November 27th from 10am-5pm.
