Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) -The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office is reporting an unusual burglary.

A man who lives near Century High School returned home Tuesday afternoon to discover his house had been broken into. Missing were two TVs, jewelry and some other items valued at $3500.

There was no sign of forced entry but it was soon figured out how the burglar or burglars got in.

The man parks his vehicle at Shopko North while at work and it was determined it also had been broken into and the thief took the garage door opener to gain access to the home. The victim’s address was apparently on some paperwork in the vehicle.

The man’s home is located in the 3600 block of Valley Ridge Ct NE.
