It's a huge chain all over the world, and now international clothing retailer Primark is getting ready to open its first-ever location here in Minnesota in a few weeks.

These days, it's much more common to hear about businesses, restaurants, and stores that are closing their doors instead of opening new locations. That's why it was a breath of fresh air when the international clothing store, Primark, announced that it's not only adding its 46th store in the U.S. right here in the North Star State, but will open its doors at the Mall of America in Bloomington in early September, a year after the store was first announced.

Primark Is An International Clothing Store Founded in Ireland

In case you're not familiar with Primark, it's a clothing store chain that was founded in Dublin, Ireland, back in 1969. Over those 56 years, it's grown its presence to 480 stores across 19 countries in Europe, the Middle East, and here in the U.S., where it now has stores in 15 different states. Overall, Primark says it currently employs over 80,000 colleagues across its various locations.

Primark says it was founded on a mission that 'everyone deserves to look and feel good – without paying more. We stand for great value without compromise, offering affordable fashion and everyday essentials that are made to last,' its website notes.

Here in Minnesota, PR Newswire says the new Primark location at Mall of America will be a nearly 35,000-square-foot retail store and will be located on Level 1, Southeast Court. It's set to officially open at 11 am on Thursday, September 3rd, and will offer various specials and a Primark 'Fashion Fair' event at 12 and 4 pm.

Primark offers women's denim starting at $12, with men's tees at $5, and girls' and boys' sweatshirts starting at $7. Primark also says that, through its partnership with the NFL, it will be offering Minnesota Vikings gear, with items starting at $16, PR Newswire said.
