Having grown up in Wisconsin and lived there for 40 some years before moving here to Minnesota four years ago, I was pretty sure my Minnesota geography needed some work. But I didn't think I'd do this poorly. Sadly, I was pretty much only able say I was familiar with one town in this quiz, which was compiled by the gang over at Only In Your State.

Yes, out of the 13 tiny Minnesota towns they listed, I was only able to say I know this one: Zumbro Falls. At least I know that one pretty well. I've been through there several times when heading up Highway-63 to Lake City and coming back. Heck, we even camped at Bluff Valley Campground in Zumbro Falls over the Fourth of July last year. But that was it. Not only did I not know where these other tiny Minnesota towns were located, I haven't even heard of any of them!

That's not to say I don't know parts of Minnesota; the eastern part of our state, from I-35 east to the Wisconsin border, I know like the back of my hand...kind of. From Duluth to Albert Lea, over to Caledonia and back up to Red Wing, at least I'm I'm familiar with that area of Minnesota.  I guess this means I should power up the Google maps app on my phone and hit the road-- there are a lot of cool places to see right here in our own state!
