IRIS is Holding An Online Fundraiser, I Rise For IRIS
Infants Remembered In Silence (IRIS) is holding an online auction fundraiser this year, as large in-person gatherings have been difficult to arrange with COVID-19. The auction went live this morning and will remain up through April 17th when it closes at 9pm.
To help support IRIS, you can become registered and bid on items that you want. The items up for bids range from a Green Bay Packers autographed football, gift certificates/cards to various area businesses, baskets, blankets, and even buckets of goods.
To view the items up for auction, head here, to get signed up and start bidding.
If you aren't familiar with IRIS, here is some background on the organization that also brings you the annual Turkey Trot in Faribault.
According to the IRIS website: "IRIS is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization that is dedicated to offering support, education, and resources to parents, families, friends, and professionals on the death of a child in early pregnancy (miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, molar pregnancy, etc) or from stillbirth, premature birth, neonatal death, birth defects, sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS), illness, accidents, and all other types of infant & early childhood death. IRIS is funded 100% by donations and memorials."
IRIS serves 6 counties in our area directly, those counties are Dodge, LeSueur, Goodhue, Rice, Steele, and Waseca, and on average assists around 7,000 people each year. To get more details on IRIS, you can head to their website here.
