Brazen Theft: Rochester PD Looking for Vehicle Stolen from Owner’s Driveway
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- The Rochester Police Department is looking for a vehicle that was recently reported stolen in brazen fashion.
Police Captain Casey Moilanen said officers responded to the vehicle theft report on Wednesday morning.
The reported vehicle theft comes a week after police reported an uptick in stolen vehicle cases and cases involving items being stolen out of the vehicles in northwest Rochester.
Moilanen said the vehicle was stolen from the driveway of a residence in the 500 block of Circle Ct. Southwest. Moilanen said it appears the vehicle was locked and not running at the time of the reported theft.
The vehicle is described as a black 2012 Volkswagen Passat with a dent in the driver’s side door. It has a Minnesota license plate that reads KYL949, Moilanen said.
As of Thursday morning officers have not located the vehicle.
