St. Paul Man Pleads Guilty in Rochester Child Sex Abuse Case
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A former Rochester man has admitted to sexually assaulting a young child.
Guilty Plea Entered in Child Sexual Assault Case
37-year-old Nicholas Colby George Iskierka appeared before a judge in Olmsted County Court today and entered a guilty plea to a 2nd-degree criminal sexual conduct charge. In exchange for the guilty plea, prosecutors agreed to dismiss 2 counts of 1st-degree criminal sexual conduct.

Victim Reported Abuse to Therapist
The criminal complaint against Iskierka, who now has a St. Paul address, says the charges stemmed from an investigation launched by the Rochester Police Department in May of last year. That's when detectives interviewed the victim after she first reported the sexual abuse to her therapist.

Years of Abuse
The court document says Iskierka began sexually assaulting the child at a Rochester home in 2014, when the victim was 5 or 6 years old. Prosecutors alleged the abuse continued for several years.

October Sentencing Hearing
Iskierka is scheduled to be sentenced in October. He remains in the Olmsted County Adult Detention Center with his conditional bail set at $10,000.
