First-degree Drug Possession Charge Filed In Rochester Case

Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- A drug investigation by Rochester police has led to a felony charge.

A criminal complaint recently filed in Olmsted County Court says law enforcement made the bust during an interview.

The interview followed a traffic stop. Officers executed a search warrant after stopping the vehicle, the complaint says.

Rochester Police Make Meth Bust During Interview That Followed Traffic Stop

38-year-old Alexandria Monique Jones-Orr of Rochester is charged with one count of first-degree drug possession.

The complaint says police were tracking her vehicle and pulled her over as she entered an area near the Hwy. 52 and 75th St. NW interchange in Rochester on August 6.

Jones-Orr was seen moving suspiciously in the vehicle when officers conducted the stop, the complaint says. Officers served a warrant for Jones-Orr’s person but did not find anything.

Interview at Law Enforcement Center

Jones-Orr was then taken to the Olmsted County Law Enforcement Center in downtown Rochester for a further search. The court document says Jones-Orr urinated on herself while being interviewed by police.

She was taken to a bathroom where she was told she needed to be searched. During that second search two bags of a crystal-like substance fell from her groin area, the complaint says.

The substance later tested positive for methamphetamine and weighed 61.2 grams, the complaint says.

Jones-Orr is being charged by summons and is set to make her first court appearance in December.
