
Motorcyclist Injured After Hitting Deer Near Lake City
Lake City, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Lake City area man was injured Wednesday morning when his motorcycle collided with a deer.
Deer Collision Causes Motorcycle Crash
The State Patrol says the crash was reported around 9:10 a.m. on Highway 61 at the south edge of Lake City. The preliminary crash report indicates the motorcycle was traveling south when it collided with a deer near the intersection with Wabasha County Road 4 and then crashed into the ditch.
Frontenac Man Taken to Hospital
The injured motorcyclist was identified as 74-year-old David Kumferman of Frontenac. He was transported by ambulance to Lake City Hospital with what were described as non-life-threatening injuries.

The State Patrol report indicates he was not wearing a helmet and that alcohol was not involved in the incident.
