Watch Minnesota Vikings Players Attempt to Pronounced MN Town Names

Minnesota has some pretty wild town names that are difficult to pronounce, especially if you aren't from here.

With the Vikings first game coming up on Sunday, I wanted to show you a video of some Minnesota Vikings players attempting to pronounce some of our craziest town names during the pre-season. The results are hilarious.

Minnesota's Hardest Town Names to Pronounce

As someone who is from Minnesota, this isn't fair, but I feel like the two town names that are the toughest of them all are Mahtomedi and Wayzata. They're both rude because aren't pronounced how they look.

Of course, those two were featured in the video from the Minnesota Vikings along with 4 others that were pretty funny to see some of them struggle with. I think Mahtomedi had the most misses out of all of them, though.

Here are the towns they were asked to pronounce:

Shakopee
Mahtomedi
Edina
Faribault
New Prague
Wayzata

I think a town they should have thrown in there is Roosevelt. Yes, there's a Roosevelt, MN. It's small town up north by the Canadian border.

I may be one of few that actually know how to pronounce this like the locals because I know people up in that area, but you don't pronounce it like Teddy Roosevelt. The locals pronounce it Roooooosevelt, like Roo from Winnie the Pooh combined with -sevelt. No one would get that one!

By the way, the Vikings first game of the season is at home on Sunday, September 13th against the Packers. Kick off is at 3:25 PM.
