Little Big Town's The Breaker Tour made a stop in Minnesota Thursday night, along with specials guests Midland and Kacey Musgraves, and they totally crushed it!

I've been a big fan of Little Big Town ever since their first major album, The Road To Here, was released back in 2005. I first saw them live at the La Crosse center about 12 years ago, when they opened for John Mellencamp. The last time I saw them was a little over three years ago, right here in Rochester, at Mayo Civic Center, during the Painkiller Tour. And, seeing as their The Breaker Tour was making a stop at Target Center, my wife and I headed up to see them again Thursday night.

As usual, their harmonies were incredible-- they're some of the best singers out there, in any genre of music, these days. And, they put on a great show, which included using a second, smaller, rotating state in the middle of Target Center. They did an acoustic medley of some of their earliest hits there-- including a quick version of Prince's 'When Doves Cry.'

Midland opened the show, and was really good, too, doing their hits, Drinkin' Problem and  Make A Little. And, of course, the lovely Kacey Musgraves was incredible, as well,. Her voice is so pure! She did most of her big hits like Merry Go Round, Follow Your Arrow, plus Mama's Broken Heart. (Yeah, Miranda had a hit with that song, but I didn't know Kacey wrote it... did you?!?) She also played a lot of cool, new songs from her brand new album, Golden Hour, which I'm going to have to go buy right now.

And, the newly-remodeled Target Center is pretty cool-- it's much more modern-looking, the amenities are upgraded, and it's a lot easier to get in, out and around. It was a great time-- even for a school night!
