McAlister’s Deli Will Open Two Rochester Locations Soon

Rochester's restaurant scene is expanding again, with a lot of exciting food news lately. The new Chick-fil-A is celebrating its grand opening, we welcomed a new Korean breakfast restaurant, and we're all excited for the arrival of a new Mexican restaurant, which is set to open soon near Costco in northwest Rochester.

The other night, a buddy told me about a fast-casual chain, McAlister's Deli, coming to town. He was super excited and told me he'd eaten at the Mankato spot. He said their sandwiches are delicious.

When Is McAlister's Deli Opening in Rochester, MN

Founded in 1989 in Oxford, Mississippi, the fast-casual chain operates more than 500 locations across 29 states and is known for its signature deli sandwiches, giant baked potatoes, and its famous sweet tea.

I reached out through McAlister's Deli's website for confirmation. I explained that I write for Townsquare Media and asked if they could provide info on the new Rochester locations. The company responded with this weird and generic statement:

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and concerns with us. Our stores are independently owned and operated franchises; therefore, we do not have updates as to when they will open. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. We value your business and would love the chance to make your next visit a great one!

The Post Bulletin was able to confirm the new locations.

When Is McAlister's Deli Opening in Rochester?

One location will open in The Shoppes on Second Center near Saint Mary's Hospital, and the other will be located in the West Circle Retail Plaza just south of the Hy-Vee on West Circle Drive. Both are scheduled to open in the spring.
