Buffalo, MN (KROC AM News) - A moment of silence will be observed in Buffalo, MN Tuesday to mark the first week since the Allina clinic shooting that killed one employee and injured four co-workers.

"The senseless and tragic violence that took place on February 9, 2021 at Allina Health Clinic – Buffalo Crossroads left us heartbroken and we continue to be deeply grateful for the outpouring of love and support."

 

Allina is asking all Minnesotans to take part in the event which will be held at 11:00 am, about the time of the shootings:

“Fellow Minnesotans, including Allina Health employees, patients, and our health care colleagues can share their solidarity and support for the victims, their families and the Buffalo community.”

Allina is also asking Minnesotans to wear purple in honor of the Buffalo community and/or display purple lights. Purple is the color of the Buffalo community.

The employee who was killed in the shooting was a former Mayo Clinic employee.

The man charged in the shooting also detonated devices at the clinic.
