Motorcyclist Killed in Crash Near Mankato
Eagle Lake, MN (KROC-AM News) - There have been at least four deaths in Minnesota as a result of crashes involving motorcycles over the past two days.
The most recent incident occurred Wednesday night in the Mankato area. The Blue Earth County Sheriff's Office says a 43-year-old man died after he was ejected from his motorcycle when he crashed on a gravel road just south of Eagle Lake.
The victim was identified as Troy Tabor of Eagle Lake. The Sheriff's Office report on the fatal crash indicated he was not wearing a helmet and did not have a valid driver's license or motorcycle endorsement.
Another motorcyclist was killed in a crash yesterday afternoon in the southern Twin Cities suburb. The State Patrol says 20-year-old Quinn Milles S of Moundsview was driving a motorcycle that collided with a car on Highway 13 in Savage.
The two other fatalities were the result of a motorcycle-car collision in Coon Rapids Tuesday night. The motorcyclist, 37-year-old Joseph Heim of Ham Lake was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the car later died at a Twin Cities hospital. The Anoka County Sheriff's Office identified him as 40-year-old Joseph Wivinus of Coon Rapids.
