Murder Suspect May Be Headed To Minnesota
KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN
A sad story, as well as a frightening turn of events, is happening right now.
Authorities are tracking an accused killer of a New Orleans school teacher who is headed through Iowa and believed on his way to Minnesota. They found his cell phone, and believe he is driving a silver Chevrolet Impala, which is registered in Louisiana but may now have a Minnesota license plate. Preston Higgs is suspected of the murder of his girlfriend Liz Quakenbush. Liz was found stabbed to death in her home on March 3rd, 2021.
MINNESOTA CONNECTIONS
According to the article in BringMeTheNews.com, both Liz and Preston grew up in Minnesota, and dated in Rochester before they moved to New Orleans. Liz had been an instructor at the Rochester Alternative Learning Center and was known for her work with the Green Thumb Initiative at the ALC, focusing on teaching real-world skills through gardening, grant-writing and beekeeping.
HIGGS CRIMINAL RECORD IS VIOLENT
Preston Higgs does have a criminal record. He was convicted in 2003 over an incident in which he assisted in an armed robbery at a Minnesota gas station. He forced his way into a pregnant woman's car at gunpoint and sexually assaulted her. He was released from prison in 2018.
