You'll Do A Double-Take When You See What's at a Rochester Gas Station!

One of my kids went to Kwik Trip the other day by Century High School and sent me a note that said, "Mom, they've got self-checkouts!".

Obviously, I didn't think that this was true because I've never actually seen a self-check at a gas station.  Target...Walmart...yeah, sure.  There was zero way that people are checking out their own donuts and string cheese at Kwik Trip.

Well, they are.

Have you noticed self-checkouts at any of the other Kwik Trip locations in Minnesota, Wisconsin, or at the Kwik Stars in Iowa?  If so, let me know by sending me a note over on my Facebook page - Jessica On The Radio.

Check out how much gasoline started the year you started driving

I know we are starting to see prices at the pumps go down just a tad (thank goodness!) but do you know how much gas cost when you were born?  If you aren't sure, you can find out below.

I'm not revealing my age but I will say that I remember being in college and filled up my Pontiac Grand Am for just .99 cents.  Yeah!  .99 cents!!  What's the lowest amount you remember filling up your tank for?  Let me know over on my Facebook page - Jessica On The Radio.

LOOK: See how much gasoline cost the year you started driving

To find out more about how has the price of gas changed throughout the years, Stacker ran the numbers on the cost of a gallon of gasoline for each of the last 84 years. Using data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (released in April 2020), we analyzed the average price for a gallon of unleaded regular gasoline from 1976 to 2020 along with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for unleaded regular gasoline from 1937 to 1976, including the absolute and inflation-adjusted prices for each year.

Read on to explore the cost of gas over time and rediscover just how much a gallon was when you first started driving.
