New Pub and Restaurant Now Open in Downtown Rochester!
It took longer than expected, but Rochester's newest restaurant, Olde Brick House Pub and Restaurant, is now open in Downtown Rochester.
Back in August I wrote about the then in-the-works new business.
It's between Lasker Jewelers and Dunkin', in the space formerly used by O&B Shoes and Optical Vision. As you can see by the photo, the insides are looking like they're pretty far along.
FUN FACT: Does it look a little familiar? The plans for the place were actually drawn up by an Irish firm. You probably know one of their other designs, The Local up in Minneapolis. That's why I've heard of 'em because I LOVE The Local (great fresh corned beef hash on Sundays). (Keep reading about the Brick House...)
They're serving traditional pub fare, including "bangers and mashed" - basically mashed potatoes and sausage. The way its served varies by pub, for instance at Whistle Binkie's, they serve smoked sausage with mashed potatoes. Others add gravy to the mix, whereas Olde Brick House serves it with mashed potatoes and sauerkraut.
This new business is open daily 11 AM to 9 PM for take and delivery only right.
Here's a photo of the inside:
