Relay For Life Of Olmsted County Is A Night Of Fun For Everyone
Most people that I talk to either know someone who has fought cancer or they have heard the "c" word themselves. Some families, like mine, hear that word more than we'd like. One thing that I've learned though with having siblings fight cancer, a dad fight cancer, and several relatives...community becomes one of the most important parts of that journey.
Relay for Life of Olmsted County is a place where the community can come together for an amazing night of fun activities but also a night to remember.
My favorite part of the night is seeing the luminaries. Messages and photos of men, women, and kids who are being remembered and who are fighting cancer today decorate the white bags along the track. As you take the walk throughout the evening, a tear might come to your eye as you see those messages but you are now part of that person's community...because you are there.
What else will be at Relay for Life of Olmsted County? Check out the list of some of the fun:
- Henna Tattoos by Henna Giraffe
- Hair Sparkles by the Sparkle Sisters
