The rain didn't slow down Rochester Public Schools' Relay for Life benefiting the American Cancer Society one bit!

In fact, no one had to deal with a chilly weekend during this event, either! The relay was moved inside John Marshall High School's gymnasium, and everyone was ready to raise awareness for this amazing cause.

This event was especially important to me, because it was a chance to recognize my grandmother. Unfortunately, I never got to meet her. Or, at least, remember meeting her anyway. Sadly, she passed away from complications due to pancreatic cancer when I was just six months old.

Any event that raises money for research, and awareness toward this terrible illness, is something I want to be part of.
