Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A man who was involved in a police chase in Rochester last year is facing new charges for a similar incident Thursday.

Officers were contacted by a woman around 10:30 PM who reported someone had just stolen her vehicle. The suspected thief had been with a woman who was visiting the victim.

The vehicle was found a short while later stuck in a snowbank in the 5000 block of 32nd Ave NW - still in gear with the motor running.

The suspected thief was spotted nearby and arrested. He was identified as 27-year-old Brett Kurth. A woman who had been with him was also arrested.

Kurth was arrested in October after a short police chase that injured a woman who had been with him. That case is still active.
