Rochester Man Enters Not Guilty Plea to Attempted Murder Charges
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - One of the two men charged with a shooting last August at the Meadow Park Apartment complex in Rochester today entered not guilty pleas to four felony charges.
27-year-old Abdirahman Abdukadir Abdullahi is charged with first and second-degree attempted murder, along with first-degree and second-degree assault for allegedly participating in the August 7th shooting that left the victim in critical condition. Court documents say the man was shot in the head and chest and his wounds have left him paralyzed.
Abdullahi was allegedly with Iman Iman, who is accused of the actual shooting. The criminal complaint says the victim was able to identify Abdullahi as one of the two men who assaulted him while another witness identified Iman as the shooter.
A trial date for Abdullahi has not been scheduled. Iman is currently scheduled to appear at an evidentiary hearing on February 18th. Both men remain jailed with each being held on $5 million bail.
