Rochester and the area got it's first major snowstorm of the season yesterday. As a kid, I was always bummed out when that happened on 'Christmas Break' and not during the regular school week, because we wouldn't have a snow day off.

Snowfall totals in the area varied. We were kind of on the edge of the storm. Here are some totals from the National Weather Service:

* Rochester- 7.0 inches (2 miles NE of Rochester)

* Douglas- 4.0 inches

* Chatfield- 5.5 inches

* Austin- 4.0 inches

* Wykoff- 5.5 inches

* Mazeppa- 2.8 inches

* Wabasha- 3.5 inches

* Winona- 6.0 inches

How much snow did YOU get? Take a tape measure out and see.- Alan
