Rochester Teenager Stabs Herself in Front of Police Officer
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester police officer was forced to use his Taser to prevent a teenager from possibly killing herself on Christmas Day.
The patrol officer spotted the 19-year-old on the 41st St NW bridge over Highway 52 around 7:30 PM Tuesday.
The officer became suspicious and stopped to talk to her. Suddenly she began stabbing herself in the chest with a kitchen knife. The officer subdued her with his Taser and called an ambulance.
The Rochester teenager was taken to St. Marys Hospital in unknown condition. She was not listed as a patient Wednesday morning.
