Two Popular Discount Stores Coming to Rochester

The Dicks Sporting Goods location has been sitting empty for nearly 7 years. Can you believe that?! I never would have guessed it's been that long. We wrote an article back at the beginning of 2017 announcing the closure. I have some awesome news for you this morning, finally something will be taking over the space. Not just one store, but TWO! Two fabulous discount stores.

The city website shows a permit has been pulled to remodel the store located at the Shoppes on Maine by South Target. The permit says they will create a new entry feature and basically split the space in half to house two new stores - Ross Dress for Less AND Burlington. The closest Ross in in Onalaska and there's just one Minnesota location, a new store in St. Cloud. There are several Burlington's in the cities.

Fashion, home décor, and lifestyle goodies, there's something for everyone. Burlington has a similar vibe. No word on exactly when the stores will be opening, but fingers crossed it's sometime in the very near future. We will continue to update you as we have more information.
