Stewartville Man Assaulted With Beer Bottle at Rochester Bar

Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - The Rochester Police Department is investigating a downtown assault that left a Stewartville man with a nasty cut on his face.

The incident happened around 12:30 AM Wednesday inside Dooley’s.

A spokesman says a verbal confrontation between two men became physical before it was broken up. The Stewartville man returned to his seat and that’s when he was hit across the face with a beer bottle.

At first, the 26-year-old man declined medical treatment but eventually went to St. Marys Hospital where he underwent surgery to repair the laceration.

The police spokesman says he hasn’t been very cooperative.
