The netting down the first and third baselines at Target Field will be expanded for the 2020 baseball season. Twins fans can bet they'll be even safer from foul balls this next season.

According to Bring Me the News, down the left-field line the netting will be extended 85 more feet and the height of the netting will be 22 feet. Down the right-field line, it'll be extended 65 more feet and the height will be 21 feet. As for the netting above the dugouts, those will be 12 feet, which is three feet taller than last season.

Twins President and CEO Dave St. Peter said to Bring Me the News, “'Enhancing fan safety is always a high priority. Understanding every ballpark is unique in its geometry, we believe the new netting configuration is the right approach for Target Field.'”
