I think that magic shows aren't as big as they use to be, but there are still folks that enjoy doing magic tricks as a hobby. Growing up, it was a popular trend to have magicians at birthday parties. I'm not sure if that is still a trend, but it is so fascinating to watch someone pull off all those tricks. Now it  When I was surfing the internet the other day, I found this post on Only in Your State that said the oldest magic store in the United States was located in Minnesota.

The article says that Eagle Magic and Joke Store is currently owned by Larry Kahlow. He uses to visit the store when it was located in Minneapolis at the age of 10 and bring his tricks to school. Now he owns and operates it. Eagle Magic and Jokes is now located in Burnsville, Minnesota in a small shopping center.

From their Facebook page and their website, you can tell there are a lot of cool unique things to see. They have everything from modern jokes, magic tricks, and instructions books to antique toys. You can even order some of the products online.

Magic tricks are all about practice. The article says new and seasoned magicians gather at the magic shop to learn the craft and polish their skills. If you are looking at getting into the craft, this is a great place to start because Kahlow the owner has many many years of experience. He has a lot of knowledge that can help you no matter what your skill level is.

If you are looking to check out the store for yourself, the hours are quite unique. Eagle Magic and Joke Store is open Tuesday through Friday from 10:30 am to 5:30 pm. They are also open Saturday from 10:30 am to 5 pm and closed on Sunday's and Monday's. April Fools is right around the corner, so maybe you could pick up a joke or two here! ;)
