Thomas Rhett Helps Reunite Military Moms With Their Soldiers for Mother’s Day [Watch]
Thomas Rhett is a family man, and he helped ensure that a few military moms will have a very happy Mother's Day this year. The country star recently reunited four mothers with their soldier sons and daughters just in time for the holiday.
People shared a heartwarming look inside the special day, which can be seen above. The four women thought they were going to Florida to help Rhett build care packages for service members stationed overseas — but they were really the ones getting the ultimate gift.
“There’s no one more generous than moms," Rhett says, "especially the moms of those who serve our country."
After messages from their children played for each of the four moms, their sons and daughters arrived to surprise their mothers. Rhett calls the whole experience "really special."
The singer's wife, Lauren, will be celebrating her third Mother's Day this year. The couple has been married since 2012, and they have two daughters: They adopted Willa Gray from Uganda, bringing her home just a couple of days before Mother's Day in 2017, and then welcomed their biological daughter, Ada James, that August.
Music-wise, Rhett is gearing up for his 2019 Very Hot Summer Tour and the release of a new studio album. Center Point Road is due out on May 31.
