Was This The Final Chapter in Rochester City Lines vs Rochester?

St. Paul, MN (KROC-AM News) - Rochester City Lines appears very close to the end of the road when it comes to its legal battles with the City of Rochester in the state courts. The Minnesota Court of Appeals has issued another ruling that sides with the city in the protracted dispute over the company’s loss of its decades-old contract to operate Rochester’s public transit system in 2012.

The latest involves a ruling issued in June by the Minnesota Supreme Court when it overturned an earlier Appeals Court decision that found evidence of an appearance of bias in the process used by the city when it renewed First Transit’s contract two years ago. The Supreme Court ordered the Court of Appeals to review four alternative arguments for bias that were presented by Rochester City Lines and the Appeals Court has now upheld the city’s denial of those challenges to the bidding process.

It’s unclear if this decision will also be appealed to the Supreme Court.
