Why I Love This Time Of Year In Southeastern Minnesota

After the brutal winter we went through, I told myself I would savor each and every moment during the spring and summer here in Minnesota, and not take anything for granted. Even outside of this past winter, THIS time of year is my favorite-- things are starting to green up, the weather is turning nice...finally... and summer is knocking on our door. So this morning, as I was walking our dog, Chance, I noticed this tree in yard in our neighborhood. I'm not sure what kind of tree it is (Apple? Cherry?), all I know is that it's fully in bloom and it smelled great as I walked by.

I wish the trees-- and lilacs and other plants that bloom in the spring-- could stay like that all summer long!
