If you're a fan of the Mitch Rapp series by Minnesota author Vince Flynn, there's good news: Flynn's latest novel, 'The Survivor,' is set to debut this week, two years after Flynn himself passed away.

Flynn was only 47 when he died of prostate cancer back in 2013. But he'd already started work on his latest novel, 'The Survivor.' Despite Flynn's death, his publisher, wanted to keep the series going. According to the Pioneer Press, that task was handed to author Kyle Mills.

The story says, "Kyle Mills knew he had a tough job ahead when he was asked to finish a novel begun by the late thriller writer. Mills is the author of 11 thrillers of his own and two that continue the late Robert Ludlum’s Covert-One series. He finished writing the Flynn book last November, and he will be in the Twin Cities Oct. 6-7 for the book launch and a fundraiser for St. Thomas Academy."

And, according to BringMeTheNews, Mills stayed very true to the Flynn's style. The story says, "Mills said he 'spent months studying Vince’s style in hopes of duplicating it as faithfully as possible' – which seems to have worked, with many fans having told him 'they can’t tell where Vince left off and I started.'"

The story also says Mills will be doing two more Mitch Rapp books, as well. Which is cool. I just got hooked on the Mitch Rapp series last summer. It's cool that Mills, who's a successful author is his own right, can keep the series alive and stay faithful to Flynn's style.
