Bill Murray’s Hilarious First Pitch

At just about any baseball game, from the likes of our own Rochester Honkers, to the St. Paul Saints, or even the Minnesota Twins, there's usually someone who gets to toss out the ceremonial first pitch before the actual game starts. But nobody throws out a first pitch quite like Bill Murray!

I've had the chance to toss out a couple of first pitches, and, like most people, I'm always concerned with getting the ball over the plate. You don't want to embarrass yourself out there on the mound, in full view of everybody else, right? Which is why I once tried to recreate this first pitch by Bill Murray.

Murray, who's a part-owner of Minnesota's own St. Paul Saints, must have figured that if you're going to miss, you might as well miss big. Watch as Bill winds up, and then proceeds to launch the ball waaaay over into the stands along the first base line. I tried this same thing once before an Eau Claire Express game back in Wisconsin.
