Our early start to winter this year (after a spring that seemed like it was never going to get here) has me-- a guy who usually doesn't mind the snow and cold, mind you-- already grumbling about how long this winter is shaping up to be. It doesn't help that there's more snow in the forecast in the next few days, either. But maybe this giant panda has the attitude I should adopt...
I took advantage of Sunday's rare respite from our cold November weather and finally got all our outdoor Christmas lights put up. We have some lights on the shrubs, a couple of string of icicle lights along the eves, and a couple of strings along our deck and fence in the backyard. It looks nice, but there aren't a ton of lights-- certainly not as many as this huge oak tree in Bloomington. But will this be the last year for the tree with 40,000 lights?

(Turns out 'isn't' is more appropriate-- she was born in Pennsylvania but moved to Nashville when she was 14 to pursue her music career, and has never spent any time in Minnesota). But, just how 'Minnesota' are you? Take this handy quiz and find out...
