Cool Time Lapse Video of Game Day at U.S. Bank Stadium
After beating the Giants Monday night, the Vikings are home again this Sunday, hosting the Texans. And here's a way-cool time lapse video of what game day looks like at the new U.S. Bank Stadium.
The video was shot and originally used as a promotional announcement for last Monday's game. It used ESPN's high-powered cameras, as they got ready to televise the Vikings 24-10 win over the Giants in Minneapolis on Monday Night Football.
Those same Giants are back in prime time this Sunday, taking on another NFC North team-- this time at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, playing the Packers. And, interestingly, the Packers, of course, show up briefly in the video-- because, until Monday, they were the only other team to take on the Vikings on their new home turf.
Either way, it's a pretty cool look at the Vikings' new home. My favorite part, though, happens at about :38 into the video, when crews open those five giant doors on the west end of the stadium.
