If you're like me, this September has been so warm that it's tough to believe that October starts this weekend. But there's a real reason it hasn't felt much like fall so far.

According to a Facebook post from the  StormTracker 6 team over at ABC-6 News, this year has set the record for the latest date in September to first record an overnight low in the 40 degree range.

Wait, what? Well, according to their Facebook post, our first overnight low in the 40's this year didn't occur until Monday, September 26th, when the mercury bottomed out at 48 degrees. That's pretty late, especially considering the previous record was set over two weeks -- a full 16 days -- earlier, on September 10th, back in 2007.

The other latest days in September when we first had a low in the 40's occurred on September 10, 1983; September 9, 1980; and September 7, 1995.

All of which means, is that it hasn't felt much like Fall so far this Fall, despite the fact that, officially, Fall only started last week.

The question now is, though, when will we see our first frost of the Fall?
