Well, we've survived another dip into the deep freeze last weekend, and thankfully, it was only for a short time. But just how cold was it in Rochester?

Well, according to the official records at Rochester International Airport, the mercury bottomed out at 25 degrees below zero. Now, keep in mind that our 'average' low for the third week of December is about 11 degrees-- above zero-- which means it was roughly 35 degrees colder than it really should be.

At our house in northwest Rochester, we woke up to a balmy 22 degrees below zero. I think the warmest I saw on our thermometer Sunday was 5 below zero, and that was right before I headed to bed last night.

According to the Quick Country 96.5 Facebook page, Cody said the thermometer in his vehicle said it was -32 as he was heading to Lake City! Julie had 24 below near Lanesboro. Robert also said the mercury hit 24 in West Concord, while Julie had 27-below zero in Owatonna yesterday morning.

No matter where you were, THAT was a cold day yesterday! Outside of taking the garbage out, my wife and I didn't even leave the house, content to watch some football and binge-watch Breaking Bad in front of the fire.

How did YOU stay warm yesterday?
