When I first saw this headline this morning, I thought it was a story from The Onion or one of the other satirical, fake news sites. But, as it turns out, it's true - Justin Bieber (or his music, anyway) DID save a man from a bear attack!

The Daily Mail has the entire story HERE, but in a nutshell, a 42-year old Russian man named Igor Vorozhbitsyn was fishing on a Russian lake when he encountered a bear. The bear pounced on Igor and started attacking him. The story says Igor thought he might be a goner.

But it's at that moment when Igor's mobile phone - complete with a ringtone of Justin Bieber's song, 'Baby' - started loudly ringing. The bear, apparently startled by the noise, dropped Igor and ran off back into the nearby forest.

The story goes on to say that wildlife experts believe the Bieber ringtone scared the bear enough for him to stop his attack, drop his 'prey' and leave the immediate area.

While Igor did suffer cuts and severe bruises to his face and chest, he was rescued when he was found by other fishermen after using the phone to call for help.

So, although it would appear that ANY loud noise might have had the same effect, it's not that much of a stretch to conclude that yes, Justin Bieber (okay, his MUSIC...) DID, in fact, save a man's life!
