Wasn't it just Friday like five minutes ago? Anyway, a quick trip to Wisconsin and getting together with family highlighted this weekend. Here's what it looked like...

On Friday, my wife and I headed out of town back to my home state of Wisconsin, and stopped at a place I'd never been before: the Villa Bellezza winery in Pepin. It's just across the border, after you cross the Mississippi River in Wabasha, of course, and head up Wisconsin Highway 35.

It's a way-cool place that features a beautiful Mediterranean-type courtyard that, while very cool while we were there, must be INCREDIBLE on a warm, sunny day. We'll definitely be heading back this summer! (Of course, we bought some wine to take home, too...)

A trip back to Wisconsin also means we can pick up some of my favorite beers that are only available there. So we grabbed some New Glarus, Karben 4 and Ale Asylum to tide us over until our next trip east.

We also put up some retro-style lights on our deck this weekend. (After I tried to do the same last week, only to have a clip break and shatter about three light bulbs all over! Now THERE was some FUN cleaning up!) And we had a nice Easter dinner with family up in Inver Grove Heights.

Here are the pics...
