Pets In The Park 2015 is a cool for event for you and your furry, or as the sign says, not-so-furry friends. But you don't need to have a pet to take part, though.

The events runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Florence Park. And there are a ton of events for you and your furry friend to take part in, like the 1 and 3 mile run/walk, the pet costume contest, the owner/pet lookalike contest, a silent auction, plus a demonstration by the Minnesota Disc Dogs, too.

There are also pet and craft vendors, the kids carnival with face painting, the pet and owner obstacle course, and, food vendors too.

All the proceeds will help fund park projects in the Stewartville area, as well as benefiting several area pet rescues, too.

You can get more information on the event at the Stewartville Chamber of Commerce site.
