Road Rage? Survey Says Not As Likely In Minnesota
Is there something to that whole "Minnesota nice" thing? There just might be, if you believe a new survey out today that says drivers here are much less likely to experience road rage than in other cities across the country. Go Minnesota!
According the road rage survey by autovantage.com:
"Minneapolis was rated as having the sixth most courteous drivers across America's largest cities. This represents a dramatic shift from the 2009 version of the same survey, in which the city ranked fifth least courteous in the US.
Rankings were determined by measuring a wide array of driving actions that inhabitants admit to performing and acknowledge seeing, along with observations of their reactions to other drivers.
When compared to drivers in other cities, survey participants in Minneapolis are:
- 2nd least likely to have reported seeing other drivers speeding
- 3rd least likely to have observed other drivers tailgating (tied with Pittsburgh)
- 2nd least like to acknowledge eating and/or drinking while driving
While drivers in Minneapolis were identified as the most courteous, Houston, TX was identified as having the least courteous drivers."
