Rochester’s Most Authentic Halloween Cooler

Looking for a way to keep those beverages cool while you hand out candy at your front door tonight? Check out this handy Pumpkin Beer Cooler!

Yes, in this video, the folks at Tipsy Bartender show you how to make this festive fall-themed cooler. They used beer bottles, but it would work with pretty much any beverage you have on hand.

Now, while the end result does look cool, there appears to be some significant work involved. First, you need to procure an approximately 70-pound pumpkin, which you then need to clean out. (Now that right there is no small task. At least you’ll have plenty of pumpkin seeds you can toast, though.)

Then, you need to carve out all the spots for your beverage bottles or cans. And on a 70-pound pumpkin, there’s room for a full case of beer. So that’s 24 circles– which is a lot of carving! Finally, for the final cool effect, you’ll need some dry ice. Again, not the easiest stuff to find, especially at the last minute.

But it does end up looking kind of cool.  And it'll give you something to do while you wait for the trick-or-treeters to show up at the house. Check it out: (Warning– there are a few NSWF words in the video)
