Curt St. John

Curt St. John couldn’t be happier to join the Quick Country 96.5 staff! Growing up, being on the radio is all he dreamed of doing. After a stint that required him to wear a bear suit to be the mascot for an AM station that aired Chicago Cubs games in his hometown of Wausau, Wisconsin, he did end up on the radio, working weekends and overnights while he earned his degree from UW-Eau Claire.

Curt next hosted a morning radio show in Eau Claire for 15 years, and after getting married, he and his wife moved to Rochester in April of 2012. In his spare time, Curt likes to get out on the mountain bike, take their dog, Chance, for a walk, catch ‘House Hunters’ on TV and work on his next batch of home-brewed beer. Now that he’s here in Minnesota, Curt loves to follow the Twins and Wild– although he still confesses to rooting for certain MLB, NFL and Big 10 football teams that hail from a state just east of here. Curt is excited to keep you company in the afternoon and play the most continuous country on your way home!

Rochester Rollover Crash Sure Looked Bad, But Could Have Looked Even Worse

Yesterday's truck rollover on South Broadway, near the Highway-52 interchange in Rochester, sure created a mess and backed up traffic for several hours. And thanks to the scrapped cars the truck was carrying, the crash scene looked worse than it really was. But it got my mind wondering, though, about some other rollover scenarios.

Your Tax Dollars at Work – Minnesota House Legislative Session Ends in Chaos

When it comes to the business of government, I'm reminded of the old adage that states: "Laws are like sausages. It is better not to see them being made." And after last night's finish to the 2015 Minnesota legislative session, that appears to be true.

Signs You’re From The Midwest

Being that we live here in the Minnesota, in the heart of the Midwest, there are certain personality traits we all collectively exhibit that we tend to take for granted. Like our earnestness, our friendliness and our ability to withstand cold weather. When someone from the Midwest relocates to another region, it becomes obvious where they're originally from-- or so this video says, anyway. Do you agree?
