The Difference Between Snow Flurries and Snow Showers

Winter weather in Minnesota can throw a lot of things at us -- from snow flurries, to snow showers. But have you ever wondered how you tell a snow flurry from a snow shower? Well, wonder no more.

Monday's Winter Weather Advisory (which didn't really give the Med City all that much snow, as it turned out) called for both snow showers and snow flurries. Now, I imagine there is some actual meteorological difference between the two (involving scientific measurements like water content and who knows what else).
