Forbes just released its annual list of the world's biggest billionaires, and once again, Bill Gates topped the list. But three Minnesotans made the list this year. So, who are they?

First, a little background. Forbes found there were 1,810 billionaires in the world this year, down from last year's record 1,826. Forbes says they're worth a total of $6.48 trillion (that's with a 'T'!), with Bill Gates alone accounting for a net worth of $75 billion dollars.

While Bill Gates is listed first, you have to move down the list of the richest people on the planet quite a bit to find the first Minnesota resident. CBS-Minnesota says the highest rated Minnesota billionaire is former Cargill CEO, Whitney MacMillan, who's listed at #308, with a net worth of $4.8 billion.

Next is Minnesota broadcaster Stanley Hubbard, who comes in at #854, with a net worth of $2.1 billion. And, finally Timberwolves and Lynx owner Glen Taylor checks in at #1,011 with a net worth of $1.1 billion.

There were a couple of other well-financed Minnesotans that didn't quite make the list this year, according to CBS-Minnesota. The story says both Marilyn Carlson Nelson and Barbara Carlson Gage, who own part of Carlson, Inc., the travel/hospitality company, missed the Forbes list this year. I hope they don't have to pick up a part time job to make ends meet!
