These Six Words Make Women The Most Uncomfortable

There are a lot of words in the English language, and even more being added these days with the latest online abbreviations, slang and acronyms. But a new study says there are six words out there that appear to make women the most uncomfortable. 

So, how did they arrive at these six magic words? Well, according to THIS survey, which is being used as part of an online ad campaign for Knixwear, "With help from linguistics expert Mark Liberman from the University of Pennsylvania, we focused on the phenomenon known as word aversion: A feeling of intense, irrational distaste for the sound or sight of a particular word or phrase. We surveyed over five hundred women to identify the worst offenders, and then held interviews and focus groups with dozens of women to investigate what makes these words so awful."
