Seeing as we're fully ensconced in another cold Minnesota winter, there are several things all of us who live here just do, mainly so we don't freeze our tails off. Apparently, these are things that might appear odd to folks who live in another part of the country-- like leaving our car running while we run into the convenience store, or wearing snow boots and a snowmobile suit, even if we're not on a snowmobile. So what are the Top 10 Things Minnesotans Think Are Nomal-- but really aren't?

Wally & Mel's runs down a list of 10 things we, as a collective population, tend to do that seem normal to us, but really are not normal behavior-- at least to people who live elsewhere. The writers of the blog are from New London, Minnesota, so they're able to poke fun at our way of life without it seeming too mean. Do you agree with the things they've listed?

Right off the top of my head, I'd add an 11th item: It's never too cold to fire up the grill. Sure, it might be tougher to get a good fire going when it's below freezing-- and, it's not as fun standing out in the cold while your food cooks-- but, I've been known to do it, even in the winter. That might seem a little odd to folks who aren't from around here. Can you think of any other uniquely Minnesota things we do that might seem normal-- but aren't?
