Top Five Reasons To Go To Rochester On Tap This Saturday

It's the event of the year for beer... it's Rochester On Tap, this Saturday. And here are the top five reasons you'll want to be there.

1). There's the beer. Kind of goes without saying that at a craft beer festival, there will be beer. But at Rochester on Tap, there will be A LOT of beer. 100 different kinds, in fact, so you're sure to find something-- or many somethings-- you'll like.

3) Beer is an important part of our national history.  Perhaps you've heard of that quote (“Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy.”) which is often attributed to Ben Franklin. Well, THIS SITE says he actually said that about wine, not beer, but the site also notes that 'ol Ben liked to down a few pints of beer, too. So that counts.

4) It's supposed to be cold and snowy outside. Our blustery, very wintery weather is expected to continue Saturday, with "cloudy skies and periods of snow" through the day, according to the National Weather Service. But inside Mayo Civic Center, where Rochester On Tap is being held, it'll be a lovely 72 degrees. Perfect!

5) The Vikings don't play until Sunday. Okay, this one's pretty much a no-brainer, too, seeing as the NFL really never plays on Saturday-- at least until the Wild Card round of the playoffs, but it is true that if you stop by Rochester On Tap, you won't be missing the game. ;)
