He may be known for his years in New England and now in Tampa, but longtime NFL quarterback Tom Brady also has a pretty deep connection to Minnesota.

Seeing as he's heading into his tenth appearance in the Super Bowl, Tom Brady is already being called the G.O.A.T-- the Greatest Of All Time. He's won the big game six times, plus has won four Super Bowl MVP awards along with three league MVP awards. Yeah, that's pretty good. Plus, he's 43 years old, for crying out loud!

These days, of course, Tom lives down in Florida and plays for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was born in California and went to college in Ann Arbor at the University of Michigan. So how is Brady connected to the Land of 10,000 Lakes?

Well, according to this ESPN story from a few years ago-- when Super Bowl LII was, of course, held here in Minnesota-- you have to head tiny Browerville, which is about three and a half hours northwest of Rochester. (It's even a little northwest of St. Cloud, about 20 or so miles north of I-94.)

As it turns out, Browerville is where a young Tom Brady used to kill some time-- kind of like he now kills opposing teams' defenses. That's because Browervill is his mom's hometown. That's right, the greatest quarterback the NFL has ever seen "spent summers as a kid running around his grandfather's farm in Minnesota. This rural town is where his mother was raised remains home to a handful of maternal relatives, including his grandmother, aunts and uncles, and a host of first, second and third cousins," the story notes.

So I'm sure the good folks up in Browerville will be glued to the tube on Sunday, February 7th as Super Bowl LV gets underway from Tampa and Tom suits up to take on Patrick Mahomes at the Kansas City Chiefs. I had no idea Tom had any ties to Minnesota-- did you?

Now, while Tom is pretty well-paid these days, is he the richest person in Florida? Hmm, maybe not. And speaking of that, do you know who the richest person is here in Minnesota? Or Wisconsin? Or Iowa? Keep scrolling to check out just who's the richest person in each of the 50 states.
