It's been going on, every spring in Rochester since 1963. It's the Home, Vacation And RV Show, and it's coming up this Friday through Sunday. And here's what I learned from my time at previous shows.

The great thing about the Home, Vacation and RV Show (outside of the free admission, of course), is being able to pick up some handy knowledge about how things in your home work.

I've been a homeowner now for over a decade, and along with my wife, have tackled some cool home improvement projects. We added new counters and a new backsplash to our kitchen. We've painted various rooms, and updated the look of our fireplace mantel and kitchen cabinets.

All information you can get at this year's home show!

And, last weekend, I headed back to Wisconsin to help replace the utility sink in the laundry room at my parent's house. That sucker was the original sink that had been there for well over 50 years!

We were able to get it out-- including the corroded old pipes, and install a brand new one, complete with a pvc pipe that routes everything into their sump pump. And, it doesn't leak!

Score one for me-- thanks to the Home Vacation & RV Show!  I'll see you Friday night at this year's show!
